Websites that look like your business, and work like it.

Mobbit. designs and builds bespoke websites for small businesses. Some are simply a beautiful, fast website. Others are the front of something bigger: bookings, customer accounts and the system your team runs on.

Four example projects: a cafe, a martial arts studio, a franchise network and a soft play centre

No house template

Four businesses, four identities.

A soft play centre and a franchise network shouldn’t share a website. Each of our example projects has its own typefaces, colours and voice, chosen for the people it has to win over.

Each is a representative example rather than a client case study. Open one to see the whole site, and the system behind it.

Out front, and behind

A website can be the front of something bigger.

Plenty of businesses only need the first layer, and that’s a perfectly good website. When it needs to do more, the next layer is built to fit behind it.

  1. 01Out front

    A website

Explains what you do in seconds, looks the part on every phone, and gets people in touch.

In the workEditorial homepage · Opportunity website

  2. 02

    An enquiry journey

A guided form that asks the questions you’d ask on the phone, so enquiries arrive ready to answer.

In the workPrivate-hire enquiries · Qualifying enquiry

  3. 03

    Booking

Customers book and pay on the site itself, against real availability.

In the workParty builder · Free trial booking

    Booking systems
  4. 04

    Accounts and portals

Somewhere customers sign in to rebook, check progress or upload what you need.

In the workFamily accounts · Prospect portal

    Portals and business software
  5. 05Behind

    The system behind it

Customer records and staff screens that the website feeds, so nothing is typed in twice.

    In the workGuest records · Front-desk check-in

How we design

A good website gets the right people to the next step.

Booking a table, trying a class, asking about a franchise. Everything on the page is there to make that step obvious, and to make your business look as good as it is.

  1. It starts with your customers’ questions

Before any design, we write down what people need to know before they book, buy or get in touch, and put the answers where they’ll look for them.

  2. Designed for the phone first

Most people will meet your business on a small screen, often in a hurry. We design for that first and let the larger layouts grow from it.

  3. Fast, findable and accessible

Quick to load, structured so search engines understand each page, and readable by everyone, including people using screen readers.

  4. Yours to keep up to date

Opening hours, menus, prices and news change. The parts you’ll change often are the parts you can edit yourself.

Template or bespoke?

You might be fine with a template.

Website builders are good, and cheap. If one does what you need, we’ll say so. A bespoke site is worth it when the website has to win customers in a crowded market, or do real work.

A website builder

Probably right if…

  • You need a simple presence online, quickly
  • A theme’s look is close enough to your brand
  • You’re happy to build and maintain it yourself

A bespoke website

Worth it when…

  • First impressions matter in your market
  • Visitors need to book, enquire or sign in, not just read
  • The website has to work with the systems behind it
  • You’ve outgrown a template and keep working around it

Questions

Websites: what people ask.

Can I update the website myself?

Yes. The content you’ll change often, such as menus, prices, opening hours and news, is editable without calling us. We’ll show you how before launch.

Can you redesign the website I already have?

Yes. Sometimes a redesign is right; sometimes improving the pages that matter most is enough. We’ll look at what you have and tell you honestly.

Will it help people find us on Google?

Every site is built with clear page structure, descriptive titles and fast load times, which give search engines what they need. Nobody can honestly promise rankings, and we won’t.

Can we start with a website and add booking later?

Yes. That’s a common way to start. We build the site so booking, accounts or a customer system can be added later without starting again.

How much does a bespoke website cost?

It depends on the number of pages, what visitors need to do and whether anything connects behind it. You’ll get a clear quote before any work starts.

Tell us what your website needs to do.

Who it’s for, what they should do next, and whether anything sits behind it. We’ll come back with honest thoughts on what would work and what it would cost.
